Nacho Casinacho: a week with the snack-match game
I downloaded Nacho Casinacho on a slow afternoon, mostly because the icon was cheerful and the file was small. A week later it's still installed, which for me is a real endorsement. It's a casual match game, and the whole point is quick, satisfying rounds you can start and stop anytime.
The loop is straightforward. Tiles shaped like little snacks fill a board, and you drag them into matching groups before a timer ring runs out. Matches chain into combos if you plan ahead, and there's a gentle scoring pressure that makes you want one more go. Everything happens under one thumb, which is exactly what you want for a game you play standing on a tram.
What kept me around was the pacing. A lot of casual games try to stress you out. Nacho Casinacho stays calm, more of a rhythm than a race. You unlock new tile skins and board shapes just by playing, no waiting around, and crucially it all works with the phone in airplane mode.
If I had one wish, it'd be a few more board layouts near the top end, since the variety thins out after a while. Still, for a free offline time-filler it does its one job very well. Give it a session and see if it hooks you like it did me.
